Hey friends! :) Today I wanted to share with you all a very fun idea I tried out recently on how to make a super unique letter to send to a pen-pal, or just to anyone you know to brighten their day! It's called a pocket letter! Basically you just take a piece of thick paper, fold it in half, add various size pockets from different types of paper, and decorate it with anything you have on hand! Super easy and very fun! This was the first one I've ever made actually, and I had a great time picking out all the little components and fitting them together. You can be as intricate or as simple as you'd like! Themed or un-themed! Color-coordinated or a spray of colors. It's all about what you and/or your recipient like best and what makes it fun for you. :) And once it's made, it's equally as fun to fill!
I hope this little bit of inspiration motivates you today to send some happy mail to someone who you know could use some Christian encouragement! Even if you don't try out the pocket letter idea - always remember the power of the written word. Is there a friend you know who is going through a hard time? A family in your life who just welcomed a new child? A Grandparent who could always use a smile? There are so many opportunities (like our monthly projects!) to spread Jesus' love and joy through the art of happy mail. So my challenge for you today is go and write something - a card, a letter, or even try out the pocket letter - and send it to who God lays on your heart. I know they'll be so very thrilled when it arrives. :) 'A joyful heart makes a cheerful face." Proverbs 15:13 *You can check out our original post about this fun idea over on our Instagram page.
